SUMMARY

OF THE MARCH 24 AND 25, 2003, NRC MEETINGWITH TSTF REPRESENTATIVE TO DISCUSSTHE PROPOSED CHANGES TO THE RETYPED STS NUREGsThe staff met with Brian Mann of EXCEL to discuss the proposed changes to STS NUREG,Revision 2 and the retyped STS NUREGs. The attached table designates the staff members who participated and their assigned STS Section.The staff reviewed the marked up Rev. 2 books. An electronic copy of the Rev. 2 books iscontained in ADAMS under accession number ML031270485. The staff discussed individual changes, as needed, and in some cases suggested changes.Many of the changes are corrections or extensions of approved Travelers. The approvedtravelers are travelers approved before June 10, 2001. Extensions are application of approved travelers to late additions to Revision 2 that did not apply the approved traveler. These changes need to be documented.EXCEL will revise the Word files to reflect the changes identified during the meeting. After therevision to the word file, EXCEL will send a submittal to the NRC containing a table describing the non-editorial changes, a copy of the marked up Revision 2 books, and a printed copy of the Word STS NUREGs with red-line strikeout enabled.The staff will use these documents to compare the markup to the retyped version. The staff willthen determine if the Word STS files agree with the proposed changes to Revision 2.After acceptance of the proposed Revision 2 Word STS files by the staff, TSTF and the staffwill agree to a list of travelers that have been approved since issuance of Revision 2. The industry will word-process those changes into the Word STS files showing the changes in red-line strikeout and submit them to the staff.
