I.
Introduction This (seventh) joint progress report responds to the Licensing Board's request in its May 7, 1992, Memorandum and Order (Memorializing Prehearing Conference), ASLBP No..91-641 ML, that "the parties should provide the Board with a (bimonthly) joint progress report on their activities for meeting the prehearing schedule."
This report has been reviewed and found acceptable by NRC Staff Counsel, Citizens Against Nuclear Trash (Intervenor), and Louisiana Energy Services, L.P.
(Applicant)'.
II.
License Annlication Status The following information and issues related to completion.
of the NRC staff's Safety Evaluation Report (SER) and Draft Environmental Impact Statement (DEIS) remain outstanding.
A.
Applicant's only remaining submittal is a minor-analysis demonstrating the adequacy of the UF Product 6

This analysis will be submitted by July 23, 1993.
Applicant also is updating the SAR and ER reflecting changes made to information in these documents during the course of NRC-Staff review.
Applicant submitted the revised Criticality Safety B.
Engineering Report to the NRC Staff-on June 11, 1993.

Applicant submitted revised Proposed License Conditions to the NRC Staff on June 18, 1993.
D.
In response to NRC Staff comments in a letter to LES,

dated June 18, 1993, Applicant submitted revised cost.
estimates for decommissioning and disposition of depleted UF to the imC Staff on June 30, 1993.

Applicant will revise the' Fundamental Nuclear Material' Control (FNMC) Plan based on NRC Staff comments in a letter to Applicant dated April 30, 1993.
Applicant will submit the revised FNMC Plan to the NRC Staff by August 20, 1993.
(The NRC Staff has determined previously that the FNMC Plan satisfies applicable I
regulations; therefore, this should not impact the Staff's document schedule.).

Applicant submitted the revised Emergency Plan to the NRC Staff on May 17, 1993.
III.
STAFF DOCUMENTS AND HEARING SCHEDULE The NRC Staff's projected publication date for the SER is revised from December 27, 1993, to January 28, 1994, to reflect submission and review delays.
The DEIS projected publication date is revised from September 30, 1993, to November 30, 1993.
The publication date of the Final EIS, which will follow the DEIS by nine months, has been revised from June 30, 1994, to August 30, 1994.
These dates are, however, subject to change if current submission and review schedules are not met.
Based on these projected dates and the Board's schedule from the May 7, 1992, Memorandum and Order:
Discovery on technical issues will end March'25, 1994 (8 weeks following issuance of SER);
Prefiled testimony on technical issues is'due May 20, 1994 (8 weeks following-end of discovery);
The hearing on technical issues will start June 10, 1994 (3 weeks following filing of prefiled testimony);
Discovery on environmental issues will end October 25, 1994 (8 weeks following issuance of FEIS);
Prefiled testimony on environmental issues is due-December 6, 1994 (6 weeks following end of discovery);
and The hearing on environmental issues will start December 27, 1994 (3 weeks following filing of prefiled testimony).

Discovery activity involves Intervenor's responses to Applicant's Interrogatories served on Intervenor August 11',
1992.
Intervenor served the parties with answers to a number of Applicant's Interrogatories on March 19, 1993.
Answers to the remaining Interrogatories are due to be filed sixty days prior to the close of discovery.
