I approve the staff's proposed management plan for the medical use regulatory program as presented in SECY-93-244.
However, as the staff implements the various portions of the plan, they should take into consideration that two-thirds of the materiaA licenses are regulated by Agreement States, which have a time lag for implementation of certain changes.
Therefore, as appropriate, the Agreement States should be involved in the regulatory program processes as early as possible.
