Enclosed is an application received by the U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC), dated October 14, 2021, from QSA Global, Inc., for a specific license (PXB240.00) to export Category 2 quantities of Ir-192 to Pakistan. The sealed sources will be used industrial radiography.
Pakistan is a restricted destination, therefore, we would appreciate your views in accordance with established procedures and from the overall perspective of the Executive Branch, as to whether the requested export meets the applicable criteria in the Atomic Energy Act of 1954, as amended. Consistent with Executive Branch policy regarding exports to Pakistan, end-user verification is requested in coordination with the Department of Commerce, Bureau of Industry and Security. If you have any questions or need additional information, please contact the licensing officer, Stephen Baker at Stephen.Baker@nrc.gov and cc the licensing assistant, Joanne Savoy at Joanne.Savoy@nrc.gov.
