This is in regard to your request for approval of a primary and alternate route to be used for transport of spent reactor fuel as contained in your letter of April 14, 1986 and telephone conversations between Mr. Olsen and Charles Hillman of my staf f.
This is in regard to your request for approval of a primary and alternate route to be used for transport of spent reactor fuel as contained in your letter of April 14, 1986 and telephone conversations between Mr. Olsen and Charles Hillman of my staf f.
The route previously approved, as discussed during the above mentioned telephone conversations, neets the regulatory requirements in accordance with 10 CFR 73.37 and is approved for shipments of spent fuel from Lynchburg, Virginia to Cordova, Illinois.                             In the event your carrier is required to deviate from the approved route please call the contact listed on page two of this letter as soon as possible providing the details.

Gentiemen:

This is in regard to your request for approval of a primary and alternate route to be used for transport of spent reactor fuel as contained in your letter of April 14, 1986 and telephone conversations between Mr. Olsen and Charles Hillman of my staf f.

The route previously approved, as discussed during the above mentioned telephone conversations, neets the regulatory requirements in accordance with 10 CFR 73.37 and is approved for shipments of spent fuel from Lynchburg, Virginia to Cordova, Illinois.

In the event your carrier is required to deviate from the approved route please call the contact listed on page two of this letter as soon as possible providing the details.

The primary route requested in your April 14, 1986 letter will be surveyed and the results furnished you at a later date.

The alternate route proposed in your letter 6es not neet the Department of Transportation requirements that the route must be on interstate highways, beltways or state preferred routes and therefore cannot be approved.

Arrangements with law enforcement agencies along the route as required by 10 CFR 73.37(a)(2) have been completed by the flRC staff. Data relating to these arrangements and a copy of the approved route are enclosed. This information is to be incorporated into your shipment plans and provided to
