Clinton Unit I Construction Schedule Update

==Dear Mr. Denton:==

The USNRC letter dated May 29, 1981, from H. R. Denton to W. J.
Kelley requested Illinois Power Company provide a quarterly update concerning the Clinton I construction schedule.-
The critical path schedule analysis shows that the limiting system schedule, Leak Detection System, is about fifty-two days behind.                          Near term corrective actions have already been effected, and evaluation for additional improvement continues. Management attention is being focused on this system consistent with other priority systems which support Fuel Load. The scheduled date for Fuel Load continues to be January 3, 1986.
Reactor Plant Hot Operation commenced on July 3, 1985, within approximately two months of the target date.          As of this report, 'all project milestones scheduled through June 1985 have been achieved.
We will continue to submit quarterly updates of the Unit I construction schedule.
