Fuel Inspection Plans

Dear Sir:

This letter is being written in accordance with Reference (b), wherein Vermont Yankee committed to advise the NRC of our fuel inspection program for the 1981. refueling outage. Vermont Yankee relies primarily on recon =endations from the General Electric Company in formulating fuel inspection plans, and General Electric has recently informd us that formal recomendations will not be forthcoming for several months.

In light of this new inforcution, Vermont Yankee intends to inform the NRC of the 1981 fuel inspection plans 60 days prior to shutting down for our 1981 refueling outage currently scheduled to begin in October.
