Dear Representative Latta:
I live in the shado t of the Davis-Besso nuclear Forter Plant (nct under construction naar Tolelop Chio), and I'm growing more concerned every day about this plant. Are the people of this are being as guinea pigs? Is this plant as safe as we are being lead to believe? In the past we have found that vie have not been careful and strict enough - we have ruined things that can never be replaced. Dr. Sternglass (U. of Pittsburgh), has stated that his studies indicated that gas emissions fron nuclear power plants find their vay into the human food chain, in much hi;her radio-active concentrations than previously hed been thought. If an accident would occur hort many deaths wesuld there be? How many years would this vinole region be completely ruined?
' - Did you know that uranium has a " half-life" of 4 5 billion years and another 4 5 billion years before half of the renaining uranium decays; efter nino billion years only a forth of the
- original block will remain?
- In the light of all these questions, how han construction continue on this plant?
