Lucie Unit l.

The proposed amendment revises Technical Specifications Design Features Section 5.3.1, Fuel Assemblies, to delete the maximum weight of uranium in a fuel rod and provide alternative requirements for fuel assemblies in the design features section.

Attachment 1 is a marked up copy of the proposed Technical Specification change. Attachment 2 is a Safety Analysis in support of the proposed amendment. Attachment 3 is the "Determination of No Significant Hazards Consideration."

The proposed amendment has been reviewed by the St. Lucie Facility Review Group and the Florida Power & Light Company Nuclear Review Board. In accordance with 10 CFR 50.91 (b)(l), a copy of the proposed amendment, is being forwarded to the State Designee for the State of Florida.
