SUMMARY

OF JULY 5, 2018, CLOSED TELECONFERENCE WITH RESEARCH AND PRODUCTION CORPORATION RADICS LLC On July 5, 2018, U. S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC) staff held a closed teleconference with representatives of Radics LLC. Topics discussed on the call included:

  • universal asynchronous receiver-transmitter protocol,
  • Monitoring and Tuning System local area network Interface,
  • diversity plant-specific action items, and
  • RadICS evaluation based on NUREG/CR-7007, Diversity Strategies for Nuclear Power Plant Instrumentation and Control Systems, (Agencywide Document Access and Management System Accession No. ML100541256).

During the call, NRC staff and Radics LLC engaged in a number of clarification questions and answers. The information discussed was proprietary so no details of the discussions are provided.

In addition, the NRC staff and Radics LLC representatives discussed the status of open items.
