PUBLIC MEETING TO DISCUSS YOUR SCOPE OF EFFORT AND PROGRESS IN ADDRESSING SUBSTANTIVE CROSS-CUTTING ISSUES FOR THE KEWAUNEE POWER STATION

Dear Mr. Christian:

This letter confirms the plans discussed between Ms. Leslie Hartz of your staff and me to have a meeting between representatives of Dominion Energy Kewaunee, Inc., and the U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC). The meeting will begin at 1:00 p.m. (CDT) on Tuesday, May 8, 2007, at the NRC Region III Office, 2443 Warrenville Road - Suite 210, Lisle, IL 60532.

The meeting is open to the public, and there will be an opportunity for the public to speak with NRC representatives before the meeting is adjourned.

The purpose of the meeting is to discuss your scope of effort and progress in addressing substantive cross-cutting issues in the areas of problem identification and resolution (PI&R) and human performance at the Kewaunee Power Station. This meeting request was outlined in the Annual Assessment Letter for the Kewaunee Power Station, dated 3/2/07 (ML070610250).
