Pursuant to Title 10 of the Code of Federal Regulations (10 CFR) Part 50, Appendix H,"Reactor Vessel Material Surveillance Program Requirements", Entergy Operations, Inc.submits the enclosed report WCAP-1 7969-NP, Revision 0, "Analysis of Capsule 830 from the Entergy Operations, Inc. Waterford Unit 3 Reactor Vessel Radiation Surveillance Program," dated April 2015. This report documents the results of the examination of Capsule 830, which-was removed from Waterford 3 during refueling outage 19 on April 30, 2014. WCAP-17969-NP is a complete and non-proprietary report; there is no proprietary version.The existing Waterford 3 Technical Specification (TS) 3.4.8.1 heatup and cooldown curves, Figures 3.4-2 and 3.4-3, are valid to 32 Effective Full Power Years (EFPY). A change to this TS will be required to allow operation past 32 EFPY. A License Amendment Request (LAR)will be submitted to the NRC to request approval of this change by April 30, 2019.This correspondence contains one new commitment as identified in Attachment 2.If you have any questions, or require additional information, please contact John Jarrell at 504-739-6685.
