TRANSMITTAL OF PROPOSED REVISION 2 OF REGULATORY GUIDE 3.54 The enclosed proposed Revision 2 of Regulatory Guide (RG) 3.54, Spent Fuel Heat Generation in an Independent Spent Fuel Storage Installation (Enclosure 1) was developed by my staff in the Criticality, Shielding and Risk Assessment Branch. The proposed Revision 2 to RG 3.54 was issued for public comment as Draft Regulatory Guide (DG)-3050. All public comments have been addressed and appropriate changes incorporated and proposed Revision 2 of RG 3.54 is ready for the Division of Engineering, Regulatory Guidance and Generic Issues Branch to forward to other program offices for concurrence, as well as, to the Office of the General Counsel for legal review in preparation for final issuance.

A public comment and response table is also being transmitted as Enclosure 2.
