Region I Branch Chief Matt Young was #OnTheJob at Beaver Valley determining if a leak on service water piping that provides cooling to an emergency diesel generator affected its operability. As a former resident inspector, Young, knows his way around this important equipment.

NRC inspector, Storm Veunephachan, was #OnTheJob watching as a container from Crystal River Unit 3 was loaded and moved to a barge for transportation across the Gulf of Mexico. The transit was completed safely, and the package was ev entually disposed of at a facility in Texas.

It's #NationalJoeDay, and were highlighting Joe DeBoer, a senior emergency preparedness inspector in our Region I Office. When hes #OnTheJob he oversees nuclear power plant emergency exercises, and is also the regional subject matter expert on emergency diesel generators.
