[External_Sender] Comments for Docket ID: NRC-2020-0277-0194 The Point Beach license should not be renewed or extended for an additional 20 years. If this is done the renewal would extend the expected life of the nuclear reactors to 80 years (2050 and 2053). Renewal now would preclude acting on any discovery of adverse health and environmental impacts in the intervening time between the present and current expiry.

The reactors and waste storage facility are located on the shoreline of Lake Michigan in Manitowoc County near Two Rivers, Wisconsin. We are in the midst of global climate crisis and we should not be threatening the health of the largest freshwater system in the world.

The Point Beach reactor #2 is one of the most embrittled reactors in the U.S. due to its age and materials, making it vulnerable to cracking and the release of radiation in the event of an accident. The NRC estimated that the Point Beach 2 reactor was to reach its embitterment screening limit by 2017.

Also, questions of onsite contaminant storage have not been fully addressed.

I oppose renewal of the Point Beach license.
