Please find enclosed one (1) copy of our Annual Report to the NRC concerning the University of Iowa Hygienic Laboratory's Environmental Monitoring Program at the Duane Arnold Energy Center, Palo, Iowa.
Please find enclosed one (1) copy of our Annual Report to the NRC concerning the University of Iowa Hygienic Laboratory's Environmental Monitoring Program at the Duane Arnold Energy Center, Palo, Iowa. This report is intended to fulfill our reporting requirements for the period 1 January 1986 through 31 December 1986 under Cooperative Agreement #NRC-30-83-648.
This report is intended to fulfill our reporting requirements for the period 1 January 1986 through 31 December 1986 under Cooperative Agreement #NRC-30-83-648.
We regret that this report was not prepared and delivered within the 120 day time span specified under our Cooperative Agreement.         As noted in my earlier telephone conversation with you, we depend on DAEC and their contractor for the licensee's portion of this report.             In previous years this data was available to us not later than the first week of March; this year, DAEC changed the reporting date for their data to 1 April and we did not receive it until     late in April.       In addition, important personnel were unavailable at various times during the preparation period due to previously scheduled training, and for personal reasons.           We regret any inconvenience that our tardiness may have caused.
