Reference:

John A. Grobe letter to O. D. Kingsley dated June 29,1998, transmitting NRC Inspection Report 50-10/98015,50-237/249/98018 and Notice of Violation The purpose of this letter is to provide Comed's reply to the Notice of Violation transmitted by the above reference. Specifically, the violation resulted from multiple failures by two members of the plant staff to document the required record for fitness-for-duty (FFD) contacts for unscheduled work. The corrective actions are described in the attachment which contains Safeguards Material.

The attachment contains two commitments: NTS 237-100-98-0180201, NTS 237-100-98-0180202.

This response contains safeguards information. If there are any questions concerning this letter, please refer them to Mr. Frank Spangenberg, Dresden Station Regulatory Assurance Manager, at (8:5) 942-2920 extension 3800.
