  .The stolen gauge contained an 8 millicurie cesium-137 source and a 40 millicurie americium-241/Be source. The gauge was last seen on Dscember 23, 1998, locked in its case and secured to the back of the pickup truck with a locked chain. On December 29, 1998, the licensee discovered the chain had been cut, the case lock broken, and the gauge removed from the case.
