Dear Senator:

Some information pleace; if you don' t know t,he anawers, please forward thic to the NRC or whomever.

The recent accident in Alabama (Brown:, Ferry Nuclear #3) seemed comewhat familiar.

Thcre was a leakage of radioactive water (10,000 cal.) into the containment vcaccl.

My quection is what was done about the can that accompantec thin leak of water?

Did the NRC allow the Browns Ferry folks to vent it or what. (Alco what caccc were precent after the leak?)

IIow much was vented?

Ilow do you feel about cuch a venting of radioactive cac into a state'c/ country'c atmosphere.

(Thic in precisely what happened -

at AHO in May 80 - when IIcalth Director Young ordered AP&L not to vent, but APLL vented an the.CT AT P an the controlling agent. ) yway, citing the NRC and not Y. hat are you doing to encure the ctate and not the fcderal govern-ment hac Ig m n ";* cay-co about auch letha] venting of radioactive cacco in nur state?
