Topic: GUIDANCE FOR ELECTRONIC SUBMITTALS TO THE NRC We have a problem with the new guidance or maybe we don't understand.

It appears that we can no longer scan INK SIGNED letters with OATH AND AFFIRMATION like we allowed to do in the initial guidance. If I follow the guidance, the only way we can send letters with O&A would be to have our VICE president to get an EIE key, then go to a machine and push the button for EIE. Or I can scan the document and put it on CD rom and send it.

The other option is to go back to the old way and just hard copy mail it - which defeats the whole purpose of EIE.
