The applicant is requesting to export 95. 76 effective kilograms of low-enriched uranium in the form of broken metal to the Republic of Korea for irradiation in the Hanaro and Kijang research reactors; medical isotope production ; and research and development for advanced research reactor fuel.
Assurances from the Republic of Korea that the material will be subject to all of the terms and conditions of an agreement for cooperation , are required . Your assistance in obtaining the necessary assurances will be appreciated .
