The U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC) is pleased that you will participate in a public Commission meeting on proposed revisions to Part 61 and the Low-Level Waste (LLW) Volume Reduction Policy Statement, on March 8, 2012, at 9:00 a.m. The meeting will be held in the Commissioners' Conference Room on the first floor of the NRC's Headquarters building at One White Flint North, Rockville, Maryland.

The Commission is interested in hearing the industry's perspective on the Part 61 site-specific analysiS rulemaking and the LLW Volume Reduction th Policy Statement. The draft final policy statement is due January 10 , and the draft proposed rule is due February 1st. As soon as the papers are publicly released, my staff will provide them to you.
