{{#Wiki_filter:No: III-14-015 May 5 , 2014 CONTACT: Viktoria Mitlyng 630-829-9662                      Prema Chandrathil 630-829-9663 NRC Names New Senior Re sident Inspector at Quad Cities Nuclear Station The Nuclear Regulatory Commission has selected Rob Murray as the new Senior Resident Inspector at the Quad Cities nuclear power plant in Cordova, Ill., approximately 20 miles northeast of Moline. The nuclear power facility is operated by Exelon Generation Co., LLC.
Murray joined the NRC in 2008 as a reactor engineer in Region III. Prior to joining the agency, he served six years as a submarine officer in the U.S. Navy. Murray, from Orland Park, I ll., holds a bachelor's degree in electromechanical engineering from Loras College and a MBA from Webster University. Most recently, he was the Resident Inspector at the Duane Arnold nuclear plant in Palo, Iowa
. "Rob Murray is an excellent inspector with a firm commitment to safety. He will help the NRC fulfill its mission of protecting people and the environment by ensuring the Quad Cities plant operates at the high standards set by the NRC," said Region III Administrator Cynthia D. Pederson.
