[External_Sender] nuclear power hearingDate:Tuesday, April 25, 2017 5:02:50 PM

Dear Officials:

The consumption of fossil fuels and their effect on global warming are so critical that itforces us to look again at nuclear energy. We will need both additional nuclear plants and renewable sources such as wind and solar to turn the corner on this problem.Everyone knows of the problem with the storage of nuclear waste and other issues posed by nuclear. Someday we may not need to take these risks, but today we must make real progress on global warming and do it quickly, otherwise South Florida is going to be underwater in less than a hundred years.

The Turkey Point plants have done us well so far. Let's lead the way in bringing nuclear back, at least until we develop our renewable sources. We have frightened our citizens into rejecting nuclear unnecessarily. Our people do not fully understand what sea level rise means for our area. If they did, I believe most would opt for more nuclear power.
