| r-Unit 2 was operating at 78-percent power and unit 3 was at 93-percent .

| power. Unit I was operating at 95-percent power. Only unit 1 was affected by this event. While running Surveillance Instruction (SI) 4.7.D.1.B-1, i

| valve FCV-77-2A (Drywell Sump Discharge Valve to Radwaste) did not close as required. FCV-77-2B in the same line was closed to ensure primary contalment per Technical Specification 3.7.D.2. Closure of FCV-77-2B for contairunent isolation resulted in inoperability of the drywell sump leak I detection system. This inoperability imposed a limiting condition for operation (Technical Specificiation 3.6.C.2) for about four hours. | * monitor drywell Icakage. Personnel were sent to investigate the probl e and after rapping on the solenoid, the valve closed. KV-77-2A was q subsequently cycled and operated satisfactorily per S.I. 4.7.D.l.B-1. No j maintenance was performed, but it was added to the operatods routine to cycle the valve every two weeks for two months to ensure that the valve has no recurring probi m.
