FITZPATRICK NUCLEAR POWER PLANT, LICENSE RENEWAL APPLICATION The U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC or the staff) and representatives of Entergy Nuclear Operations, Inc., held a telephone conference call on June 7, 2007, to discuss and clarify the staffs requests for additional information (RAIs) concerning the James A. FitzPatrick Nuclear Power Plant, license renewal application. The telephone conference call was useful in clarifying the intent of the staffs RAIs. provides a listing of the participants and Enclosure 2 contains a listing of the RAIs discussed with the applicant, including a brief description on the status of the items.

The applicant had an opportunity to comment on this summary.

REQUEST FOR ADDITIONAL INFORMATION JAMES A. FITZPATRICK NUCLEAR POWER PLANT LICENSE RENEWAL APPLICATION JUNE 7, 2007 The U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC or the staff) and representatives of Entergy Nuclear Operations, Inc., held a telephone conference call on June 7, 2007, to discuss and clarify the following requests for additional information (RAIs) concerning the James A.

FitzPatrick Nuclear Power Plant (JAFNPP) license renewal application (LRA).

RAI 4.3.1-1 (Questions submitted previously)

Section 4.3.1 of the License Renewal Application (LRA) addresses the effects fatigue may have on ASME Class I structures, systems, and components. The conference call was for clarification purposes of the previously submiited questions.

Discussion: The applicant agreed, that based on information contained within Structural Integrity Associates report SIR-07-084-NPS, Rev. 1, they would need to update the 60 year cycle projections, due to additional startup/shutdown transients not previously considered in report SIR-07-084-NPS, Rev. 1. The updated projections will be included in the future fatigue management activities described in LRA Commitment #20.
