In accordance with 10 CFR Part 2, Appendix C, and using the guidance contained in NRC Inspection Manual Part 9900, RG&E had requested Enforcement Discretion on August 30, 1994 with respect to Ginna Station Technical Specification 3.4.2.1.a (Ref. a). Mls request was a contingency action in the event that necessary repairs and testing of Motor-Driven AuxiliaryFeedwater (MDAFW)Pump B could not be completed within the seven day LCO limitwhich expired on August 31, 1994 at 0530 hours. Me requested Enforcement Discretion was verbally approved by the NRC during a phone conversation between Mr. William Lazarus NRC, Region I, and Robert Mecredy, Vice President, Nuclear Production at approximately 1720 EST on August 30, 1994.
RG&E successfully completed repairs of MDAFWPump B on August 31, 1994 at 0508 hours.
The pump parameters as documented in the post maintenance testing of MDAFWPump B are provided in Attachment A.
Therefore, the LCO was exited before the expiration of the seven day LCO limit and the NRC authorized. Enforcement Discretion was not required or used.

Mls request was a contingency action in the event that necessary repairs and testing of Motor-Driven AuxiliaryFeedwater (MDAFW)Pump B could not be completed within the seven day LCO limitwhich expired on August 31, 1994 at 0530 hours0.00613 days <br />0.147 hours <br />8.763227e-4 weeks <br />2.01665e-4 months <br />. Me requested Enforcement Discretion was verbally approved by the NRC during a phone conversation between Mr. William Lazarus NRC, Region I, and Robert Mecredy, Vice President, Nuclear Production at approximately 1720 EST on August 30, 1994.
