In that letter, Mr. Varga conveyed several concerns that your office had with regard to our proposed technical specifications (T/S) for the Reactor. Coolant Vent System which we submitted to you on January 20, 1984 in our letter No. AEP:NRC:0584B.

Having considered these concerns,"we='are now submitting'to.you-our revised proposed T/S for the Reactor Coolant Vent System.
The attachment.to this letter contains the proposed new specifications for Unit Nos.
1 and 2 of the Donald C. Cook Nuclear Plant.
It is our belief. that the"justification for significant hazards considerations that was provided in our letter No. AEP:NRC:0584B is still applicable.
In addition, we interpret that the'fee transmitted with our letter No. AEP:NRC:0584B covers the processing of this request.
These proposed changes have been reviewed by=the Plant Nuclear Safety Review Committee (PNSRC) and will be reviewed -by the Nuclear'Safety and Design Review Committee (NSDRC) at its next regularly'scheduled meeting.
In compliance with the-requirements of 10 CPR 50.91 (b)(1),
a copy of this letter and its attachments have been transmitted to Mr. 'R; C. Callen of the Michigan Public Service Commission.
Although the equipment to-assure compliance with these T/S is= installed at the Plant, we request that we be allowed an.implementation"period of 45 days following the issuance of the T/S to accomaedate the time required for writing-plant operating procedures and the associated training in the use of the procedures.

This letter and its attachment respond to Mr. Steven A. Varga s letter dated-February 9, 1984.

In that letter, Mr. Varga conveyed several concerns that your office had with regard to our proposed technical specifications (T/S) for the Reactor. Coolant Vent System which we submitted to you on January 20, 1984 in our letter No. AEP:NRC:0584B.

Having considered these concerns,"we='are now submitting'to.you-our revised proposed T/S for the Reactor Coolant Vent System.
