The City of Austin, subject to City Council approval, has reached a tentative agreement to settle with the Nuclear Regulatory Commission staff and the Department of Justice. This is based on a draft document of proposed license conditions subject to modification. The settlement is contingent on the final wording of the document which still is being drafted.                               It is anticipated that a final version will be ready by the prehearing conference September 15, 1980.                 The final version will be submitted to the City Council for formal appreval.

The City of Austin has been actively involved in settlement dis-cussions since the last prehearing conference.
