Status of Action Items The MCAR 40 pipe whip restraint design reanalysis effort is continuing.

In a large number of cases, engineering judgment and review of existing calculations were sufficient to ascertain he need for a dynamic (Phase II) analysis, and no distinct Phase I evaluation was performed.

Status of Restraints The attached table, originally included with Interim Report 2, provides the current status of those restraints potentially affected by the concern of MCAR 40. Where the need for Phase II analysis has been ascertained by engineering judgment and review of the existing calcu-lations, Phase I entries have been indicated as "no" because this conclusion would be expected if Phase I analyses had actually been pe rf ormed.
