Dear Mr. Denton:

References (a) and (b) requested Licensees and Applicants to review controls for handling of heavy loads.

References (c) thru (g) documented our review and response.

References (h) and (1) are draft Phase I and Phase II Technical Evaluation Reports (TERs) by EG&G Idaho, Inc. with References (i) and (n) documenting our review and response to the TERs.

On April 6, 1984 a telecon was held between NRC, EG&G, Idaho and Commonwealth Edison to discuss our Reference (1) and (n) submittals.

As a result of this discussion, it was determined that one item of information relative to Section 2.3.4C of our Phase I response should be provided.

Following is our response to that information request.

Westinghouse is a recognized Company within the nuclear industry.

Westinghouse used standard quality control proceoures in the fabrication of the reactor vessel head lift rig and reactor internals lift rig.
