9 UNITED STATES NUCLEAR REGULATORY COMMISSION DOCKET NO. 50-29 YANKEE ATOMIC ELECTRIC COMPANY NOTICE OF ISSUANCE OF AMENDMENT TO FACILITY OPERATING LICENSE c

The U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission (the Commission) has issued -

Amendment No. 37 to Facility Operating License No. DPR-3, issued to Yankee Atomic Electric Company'(the licensee), which_ revised Technical

-Specifications for operation of _ the Yankee Nuclear Power Station (Yankee-Rowe) (the facil'ity) located in Rowe, Franklin County, Massachusetts.

The amendment is effective as of its date of issuance.

T;.a' amendment relates to extending the Yankee-Rowe Technical Specifi-cation burnup dependent figures from the present limit of 389 effective full power days (EFPD) to 500 (EFPD).

The application for the amendment complies with the standads and requirements of the Atomic Energy Act of 1954, as amended (the Act), and r

the Comission's rules and regulations.

The Comission has made appropriate findings as required by the Act and the Commission's rules and regulations in 10 CFR Chapter I, which are set forth in the license amendment.

Prior public notice of this amendment was not required since the amendment does not involve a significant hazards consideraiton.

The Comission has determined that the issuance of this amendment will' not result in any significant environmental impact and that pursuant to 10 CFR 551.5(d)(4) an environmenal impact statement or negative declaration 8011240b h

I and environmental impact appraisal need not be prepared in connection

- with issuance of thistamendment.
