We have reviewed your letter dated November 13,1997, and the enclosed scope and objectives for the River Bend Station emergency planning exercise scheduled for February 11 and 12,1998.

Based on our review, we determined thht the exercise objectives are appropriate to meet emergency plan requirements. Minor questions were resolved during a December 3,1997, telephone discussion with Mr. William Smith of your staff.

We contacted the Federal Emergency Management Agency, Region IV, during our review.

Mr. Ernest Boaze had no comments for us to relay to you.
