This refers to the public meeting conducted on March 25,1999, at the Nuclear Support Center Auditorium, South Texas Project Electric Generating Station, Wadsworth, Texas. The purpose of the meeting was to discuss the results of the Plant Performance Review completed on February 11,1999. Subsequent to this meeting, I held a smaller meeting with local government officials. The discussion allowed for exchange on the new assessment process, the current performance review, and upcoming actions taken in response to Y2K concerns.

OF PUBLIC MEETING HELD ON MARCH 25,1999, AT THE SOUTH TEXAS PROJECT ELECTRIC GENERATING STATION TO PRESENT PLANT PERFORMANCE REVIEW RESULTS

Dear Mr. Cottle:

This refers to the public meeting conducted on March 25,1999, at the Nuclear Support Center Auditorium, South Texas Project Electric Generating Station, Wadsworth, Texas. The purpose of the meeting was to discuss the results of the Plant Performance Review completed on February 11,1999. Subsequent to this meeting, I held a smaller meeting with local government officials. The discussion allowed for exchange on the new assessment process, the current performance review, and upcoming actions taken in response to Y2K concerns.

In accordance with Section 2.790 of the NRC's " Rules of Practice," Part 2, Title 10, Code of Federal Regulations, a copy of this letter will be placed in the NRC's Public Document Room.
