EARLY RESPONDERS WORKSHOP The Region III Office of the U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission is sponsoring an Early Emergency Responders Workshop on February 4-5, 1987, in Chicago, Illinois. the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA), the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA), and the Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC) with representatives of nuclear power plants and other major licensee's in NRC Region III. The purpose of the Workshop is to discuss lessons learned and current problems in the coordination and integration of emergency response efforts. Through the Workshop, we hope-to promote a better understanding of our respective roles and coordination between responding organizations.
