(Vogtle Electric Generating Plant, Units 1 and 2)
Docket Nos. 50-424 and 50-425 (OL)
Dear Administrative Judges:
The NRC Staff (Staff) is in receipt of Applicants' letter to you dated June 16, 1986.
That letter responded to Chairman Margulies' letter of May 29, 1986 to Applicants which stated the Board's view that Applicants' March 10, 1986, motion for summary disposition of Contention EP-5 (reception centers) was incomplete.
The purpose of this letter is to advise the Board that the Staff believes that Applicants' June 16, 1986 letter is responsive to the Board's May 29, 1986 letter.
Further, the Staff has no basis to dispute the statements contained in the "Alfidavit of Kevin P. Twine on Contention EP-5" which is attached to Applicants' June 16, 1986 letter.
- Further, the Staff is of the view that the Board is now in a position to rule on Applicants' motion for summary disposition of Contention EP-5 and that this unopposed motion should be granted.
Sincerely, I
