Reference:

(a) September 23, 1986 letter from K. A. Ainger to H. R. Denton

Dear Mr. Denton:

Reference (a) provided a listing of NFPA Code deviations for Byron Unit 2 which were not identified on the Byron Unit I list. Attached is a revised listing of NFPA Code deviations for Byron Unit 2.

This list has been revised to deletc a deviation from NFPA 30 regarding an overflow line for the diesel oil storage tanks in the river screen house and to correct some typographical errors on the list.

A pre-set meter will'bo used in the fill line from the diesel oil i

supply source when filling the stcrage tanks in the river screen hoase. This j

is in accordance with NFPA 30 section 2-4.4.8.

Therefore, the deviation from NFPA 30 has been deleted. The pre -set meter will be procured as soon as practicable.

In the interie, if the tanke need to be refilled, an equipment attendant will he stationed at the tanks to monitor the filling operation.
