l The enclosed report provides the results of an audit conducted by the U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC), Office of Nuclear Reactor Regulation, of the commitment management

program at Sequoyah Nuclear Plant, Units 1 and 2. The insights gained from the audit at your facility will be used, along with the results from similar audits of seven other licensees' commitment management programs, to determine what, if any, changes to NRC policy or regulations are warranted. In addition, the staff has undertaken discussions with the Nuclear Energy Institute to determine if changes in their guidance document, " Guideline for Managing NRC Commitments," might be mutually beneficial for licensees and the NRC staff.
