Ms. Vesselina Ranguelova Nuclear Safety Specialist OECD Nuclear Energy Agency 2, rue André Pascal 75775 Paris Cedex 16 France

Dear Ms. Ranguelova,

On behalf of the U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC), we wanted to take a moment to express our sincere gratitude for presenting at the NRCs 36th Regulatory Information Conference (RIC), held March 12-14, 2024. It was the second hybrid RIC for the NRC and your contributions helped to make it a great success!

In keeping with the theme, Adapting to a Changing Landscape, the 2024 hybrid RIC brought together both the in-person and the virtual attendees and delivered a program that met our goal of providing all attendees with important and relevant information specific to the NRCs safety and security mission both now and in the future. With registrations from over 53 countries this year, the RIC continues to have the largest footprint of all the NRC-sponsored public meetings.

We want to personally thank you for presenting as a speaker during the Advancing Small Modular Reactor Safety through Global Collaboration: International Research and Regulatory Research session. We were delighted to have you as part of our panel and appreciate the time and effort you put into preparing and delivering your remarks. You brought a perspective that was both interesting and informative, and helped to stimulate a thought-provoking dialogue. This session was one of the most widely attended at this year's RIC thanks to your excellent panel presentation and discussions.

So many relevant and insightful sessions were offered at the RIC that it was difficult to choose which ones to participate in. The good news is that all sessions were video-recorded and are available for viewing at https://video.nrc.gov/. In addition, the transcripts from all the plenary sessions and the video recordings from the technical sessions will be publicly available on the Program Agenda page of the NRCs public RIC website within the next 30 days.

We hope you enjoyed the 2024 hybrid RIC and welcome your insights so we can continue to enhance future RIC programs. Please feel free to use the Conference Feedback link to share your thoughts pertaining to any of the sessions or to the overall RIC in general.

Once again, thank you for participating in our conference and we hope you will join us next year for the NRCs 37th RIC, scheduled for March 11-13, 2025.

Sincerely, Mr. Raymond Furstenau Session Chair March 26, 2024 Morris, Scott signing on behalf of Furstenau, Raymond on 03/26/24
