NUCLEAR REGULATORY COMMISSION AND THE FEDERAL ENERGY REGULATORY COMMISSION REGARDING THE TREATMENT OF CRITICAL ELECTRIC INFRASTRUCTURE INFORMATION On June 6, 2018, the U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRG) and the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission (FERG) entered into a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) that set forth the basic parameters under which NRG and FERG would cooperate under 18 C.F.R. § 388.113(a) to protect the material in the NRC's possession that may be Critical Electric Infrastructure Information (CEIi).

The MOU includes a provision indicating that its terms would expire two years after the date of execution unless renewed by mutual agreement. By two executed addendums, the NRG and FERG renewed the MOU on June 5, 2020 and May 20, 2022. This third addendum reflects mutual agreement between NRG and FERG to extend the terms and provisions of the June 6, 2018, MOU for another two years. All other terms and provisions of the June 6, 2018, MOU remain unchanged.

This addendum extending the June 6, 2018, MOU between NRG and FERG is effective upon signing by the last signatory.
