Model No. 9975 Sh ipping Package, Docket No. 7 1-9975 During the review of the Model No. 9975 shipping package, Docket No. 71-9975, Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC) expressed concerns with the nuclear criticality analysis in the submitted Safety Analysis Report (SAR), S-SAR-G-00001.

Based on the se co n cerns, the Sava nnah River Operation s Off i ce h as rev ise d th e criticality a nal ys is a nd h as e nclo se d the revis e d Nuclear Criticalit y Sa fe t y Eva lu at ion (NCSE) and C hapt e r 6 of the 9975 N RC SAR, S-SAR -G-00001, Re v i s ion 1. Th e NCSE is includ ed as a revi se d A pp e ndi x 6.1 belo w and a ttached is a Remove /R e pla ce page in struction and th e final response s to the last two Requests for Add itional Information rec e ived in Jul y 2014.
Based on these concerns, the Savannah River Operations Office has revised the criticality anal ysis and has enclosed the revised Nuclear Criticality Safety Evaluation (NCSE) and Chapter 6 of the 9975 NRC SAR, S-SAR-G-00001, Revision 1. The NCSE is included as a revised Appendix 6.1 below and attached is a Remove/Replace page instruction and the final responses to the last two Requests for Additional Information received in July 2014.
