Inyourpetition, yourequested that the NRCrevise its regulations sothat protective actions implemented during aGeneral Emergency at anuclear powerplant will mostlikely domoregoodthan harm when both the possible physical health effects ofradiation exposureand protective actions are taken into consideration. TheNRC docketedyourletter as petition forrulemaking (PRM)-50-123, and the NRC published anoticeofreceipt in the Federal Register onAugust 31, 2020 (85 FR53690). Thestatus ofPRM-50-123 can befound at the NRC Rules and Petition page at https://www.nrc.gov/reading-rm/doc-collections/rulemaking-ruleforum/active/PetitionIndex.html.Atthis Web site there is a link to alisting ofall active NRC PRMs. Youcan monitor this site forstatus updates as they become available.
