On behalf of the U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission, I extend my congratulations on the State of Nevada's 50 th anniversary of becoming an Agreement State. On July 1, 1972, Governor Mike O'Callaghan entered into an Agreement with the Atomic Energy Commission to assume regulatory responsibility for certain radioactive materials under Section 274 of the Atomic Energy Act of 1954, as amended. This action established Nevada as the 23 rd Agreement State.
On behalf of the U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission, I extend my congratulations on the State of Nevada's 50 th anniversary of becoming an Agreement State.
