The Office of the Inspector General at the U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC) requests your participation in recommending topical or specific areas to be examined by our office during fiscal year 2024. We design our planning process to yield assignments that will encourage efficiency, economy, and effectiveness in the NRC's programs and operations; detect and prevent fraud, waste, abuse, and mismanagement; and, improve program and security activities at headquarters and regional locations.

Our office is committed to ensuring the integrity of the NRC's programs and operations.

Developing an effective planning strategy is a critical aspect of accomplishing this commitment. Such planning ensures that we use audit and investigative resources efficiently.
