OF APRIL 29, 2021, CLOSED MEETING WITH INDUSTRY STEAM GENERATOR TASK FORCE REGARDING REVISIONS TO ELECTRIC POWER RESEARCH INSTITUTES STEAM GENERATOR INTEGRITY ASSESSMENT GUIDELINES On April 29, 2021, the U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC) staff held a closed meeting with the industry Steam Generator Task Force (SGTF). The purpose of this meeting was for the industry SGTF and NRC staff to discuss revisions to the Electric Power Research Institutes Steam Generator Integrity Assessment Guidelines. The meeting notice is now available under the NRCs Agencywide Documents Access and Management System (ADAMS) Accession No. ML21110A044.

During the meeting, the industry SGTF discussed how they planned to revise the Steam Generator Integrity Assessment Guidelines, including incorporating previously submitted NRC staff comments on the Steam Generator Integrity Assessment Guidelines. Planned changes that may be incorporated into Revision 5 of the Steam Generator Integrity Assessment Guidelines are related to Technical Specifications Task Force Traveler TSTF-577, Revision 1, Revised Frequencies for Steam Generator Tube Inspections (ADAMS Accession No. ML21099A086), foreign object management, stress corrosion cracking growth rates, fully probabilistic operational assessments, flexible power operations, and in-plane fluid elastic instability. The NRC staff provided comments on the planned revisions during the meeting and stated that they are planning to provide additional written comments related to the Steam Generator Integrity Assessment Guidelines after the meeting.
