==Dear Mr. O'Reilly:==

During an ongoing Unit 2 refueling / maintenance outage, a Unit 2 fire barrier LCO was initiated on May 11, 1984, for three fire doors in the Unit 2 Reactor Building. Two of the doors, Nos. 301 and 303, are located on the 50-foot elevation of the building while the remaining door, No. 203, is 1ccated en the 20-foot elevation of the building. These doors, respectively, provide personnel access to the Reactor Building from the roof area of the Unit 2 Turbine Building and the Unit 2 Reactor Building-Turbine Building hallway.
The subject LCO was initiated to permit opening the involved doors to help prevent wear and possible damage to the doors' locking mechanisms, seals, and interlocks resulting from outage-related traffic. On May 18, 1984, the seven-day specified time frame of the subject LCO was exceeded.
The doors will be shut and their interlocks restored when Unit 2 secondary containment is required. Until return of the involved doors to service, appropriate stationed fire watches will be maintained.
