This application for amendment to the James A. FitzPatrick Technical Specifications (TS) proposes to revise section 6.2.2.6 regarding the administrative controls for the normal working hours of plant staff who perform safety related functions.
TS section 6.2.2.6 establishes the normal work hours for operating personnel as, "...a normal 8-hour day,40 hour week..." The proposed change revises this section to provide for, "... a normal 8 to 12 hour day, nominal 40-hour week..." In addition, associated changes are being made to Sections 4.5.F,4.5 Bases, and 4.7.A.7 for administrative clarification to maintain once per shift surveillance requirements at 8 hour intervals.
The signed original of the Application for Amendment to the Operating License is enclosed for filing. Attachment I to the applicat!on contains the proposed changes to the Technical
    . Specifications. Attachment 11 contains the associated Safety Evaluation for the proposed changes. A mark-up of the affected Technical Specification pages is provided in Attachment lil.
