This 4 hour non-emergency notification to the NRC is being made on a notification to another government agency per 10CFR50.72(b)(2)(xi).
The following dead and injured American Crocodiles were reported to the US Federal Fish and Wildlife Service during the period of 8/15/2019 through 5/28/2021 but were not previously reported to the NRC Operations Center.
On 11/11/2019 at 0500 EST a dead American Crocodile was found on Palm Drive approximately 200 yards west of the Daycare outside of FPL property. It was determined that the animal had been hit by a vehicle. The US Federal Fish and Wildlife Service was notified.
On 3/18/2021 at 1330 EST a dead American Crocodile was found on the ocean side of Coffer Dam Area outside of FPL property. It was determined that the animal died of natural causes. The US Federal Fish and Wildlife Service was notified at 1550.
On 4/21/2021 at 0000 EST, an American Crocodile was injured when it was hit by a vehicle on Palm Drive outside of FPL property. The animal left the area prior to investigation to determined injuries.
Notified the R2DO (Miller) and Endangered species group (via email).
