In Illinois Power Company's letter to Mr. Frank Jablonski, NRC Region III, (Ref. IP Letter U-10024, dated January 17, 1983),. Illinois Power agreed to notify Region III of those 10CFR Part 21 defects that potentially affect the Clinton Power Station (CPS) and that were previously reported to the Commission by vendors or contractors.                                              In accordance with that agreement, the following information is provided:
BBC Brown Boveri, Inc., has notified the Clinton Power Station of a condition concerning BBC Brown Boveri K600/K800 Circuit Breakers that may have cut harness wires caused by contact of the harness wires with the racking gear inside i
the breakers.
Illinois Power is conducting an evaluation of the reported defect and its impact on the Clinton Power Station and will assure that appropriate corrective action is taken.
