Haddam Neck Plant Notification of the Use of Code Case N-234 and N-278 The purpose of this letter is to notify the NRC Staff of Connecticut Yankee Atomic Power Company's (CYAPCO's) intent to use Code Case:
o    N-234, Time Between Ultrasonic Calibration Checks, Section XI, Division 1, dated December 5,1984 and o    N-278,- Alternate Ultrasonic Calibration Block Configuration 1-3131 and T-434.3, Section XI, Division 1, dated March 17,1983.
During the 1987 refueling outage. for the Haddam Neck Plant the inservice inspection of the reactor pressure vessel will be performed in accordance with ASME Code Section XI 1980 Edition with Addenda through the Winter of 1980.
The two Code Cases listed above will be utilized to perform the Code required reactor pressure vessel exams. These Code Cases have been notedu) as acceptable for implementation into inservice inspection programs by the NRC
